For anyone who was wondering why this guestbook was not properly working:
Everytime I backed up and then restored the database file guestbook.db via my sFTP programm, the file permissions would be reset (disabling write permission). In only noticed that today when I received an email about a new post and none was there (0.9.7 will feature email notification for new posts).
So, I tried it out myself and voila - no post for me!
Examined it a little, and then fixed it. Since I know about the problem now, I will probably not make that mistake again...
